Short Bio

Captured by marauders and enslaved to an Irish druid at 16, Patrick became intimately familiar with pagan ritual. He escaped six years later back to Gaul, trained as a priest and ultimately replaced Palladius in the Pope’s commission to Ireland. His impact on Irish history has earned him great love and great hatred, as he scoured Ireland in a whirlwind of miracles, conversions, struggles and the building of Churches. He famously retired to a pagan mountain to battle demons and wrestle with God for the salvation of Ireland. He died soon after a vision that the Faith of the Easter fire he had brought would never be extinguished.
